Cancer Support Los Alamos

Los Alamos Council on Cancer sponsors free and informal cancer support for patients and survivors.  The frequency of the meetings is based on the needs and demands of the individual.  If you are interested in attending a support session.

The Cancer Corner, sponsored by LACC, ACS and LAMC

Try on and take free wigs, hats and scarves. Learn about programs, and help yourself to literature. The Cancer Corner is open by Appointment only.  Located in the Los Alamos Medical Center on the 1st floor at the end of the west hallway.  Look for signs.

PCSANM – The Prostate Cancer Support Association of New Mexico

This group provides education, information, and support to men and their families about prostate cancer. They have a  newly diagnosed info packet, biweekly support meetings with speakers, a lending library, a quarterly newsletter, and other services – all free. Their office is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10am-2pm, other hours by appointment.

American Cancer Society – Hotel Partner Program

Available hotel rooms provided at free or significantly reduced cost for patients traveling 50 miles or more from their home for cancer treatment.  Advance notice of two weeks needed from a Friday so arrangements can be made for the patient
